Why Not Travel Store - Pet of the Month for December 2025

Hello, my name is Coober and I am about two years old and even in that short amount of time, I have added a lot of joy to my humans. I am a full blooded, long-haired Dachshund. I do have a "significant other" (sorry ladies) in the household named Matilda, who is also a full-blooded Doxie, and we just had puppies together, three beautiful little wiener puppies. When I’m not canoodling,  I get to go to Mexico often, so I am very familiar of our stop at The Why Not Travel Store and I also know to be very watchful of the coyote lurking in the parking lot! I know the routine there-I walk to the south end of the parking lot and do my business in the doggie area, and then if I have been good which I always am, I head into the store. Then I get a drink of water in the water bowl by door, and  feeling refreshed, I’m ready to finish the trip. At The Why Not Travel Store, Coober is a regular!!

How to Enter Pet of the Month

​Want to take a chance to win a $50 Gift Certificate to our store? Take a photo(s) of your pet(s) (dog, cat, parrot, horse, whatever...) at one of our many store settings (FounTruck, 'Greetings from Why' mural, our cactus garden, etc.) and send

• A short bio of your pet(s) e.g., how you came to being their parent, activities they like to do
  

​Every month, our staff from across the nation will review submissions and if your pet is selected, somebody from the store will reach out to you. If your pet is not selected, fear not for your pet will be put back in the contest for the following month(s) contest.
