Why Not Travel Store - Pet of the Month for March 2026

Formerly known as Choyo, and I am a Barb's Dog Rescue alumni!  Almost two years ago, kind people found me struggling on my own and took me to Barb's rescue. For the next year and a half, the humans at Barb's loved me and took great care of me. Then this past November, my furever family found me and took me home with them!!  I've experienced LOTS of new things like grass, snow, pine trees, the Sea of Cortez, hiking, my very own bed, and car rides! I also have a cat sibling named Mara, we're good friends.

     I want to say MUCHOS GRACIAS to everyone who helped support me until my family found me at Barb's. Thank you to the people who deliver dog food to The Why Not travel Store for Barb's. Thank you to The Why Not Travel Store staff who keep the donated dog food for travelers to bring to Barb's. Thank you to every person who takes a 50# bag of food and delivers it to Barb's. Each person along the way helped to keep me fed and happy!!  My family travels to Rocky Point frequently, so I will now be part of the team bringing food to Barb's for my dog friends who still wait for their furever family to find them!  Love… Bodhi!!

How to Enter Pet of the Month

​Want to take a chance to win a $50 Gift Certificate to our store? Take a photo(s) of your pet(s) (dog, cat, parrot, horse, whatever...) at one of our many store settings (FounTruck, 'Greetings from Why' mural, our cactus garden, etc.) and send

• What brought you down our way?
• A short bio of your pet(s) e.g., how you came to being their parent, activities they like to do
  

​Every month, our staff from across the nation will review submissions and if your pet is selected, somebody from the store will reach out to you. If your pet is not selected, fear not for your pet will be put back in the contest for the following month(s) contest.

The Why Not reserves the right to use your photo for our contest, winner of the contest, and the WNTS Pet of the Month Alumni both on this site and YouTube and any other social media platform.
